Hydrosmart recently sent out fixtures and products to international agricultural sectors. Three separate countries with diverse climates and water quality issues were sent Hydrosmart systems in an effort to provide solutions. Each environment offered a different set of temperatures, mineral content and crop structure. With each client so far seeing success with the utilisation of Hydrosmart systems, our water conditioning technology proves to be an imperative factor in crop health, yield and vitality worldwide.
Success in Bahrain
Bahrain, a country located in the Middle East, boasts an arid climate, with mild and wet winters and summers that bring hot temperatures and extreme humidity. These factors introduce a complex environment for garden, plant and crop growth. The international client that received Hydrosmart systems tested them on a range of parks and gardens that required substantial watering in this warmer climate. The water, used at a rate of roughly five thousand ppm in their royal irrigation systems, needed to be well treated and controlled for the most viable results to optimise plant health. Successful water conditioning and descaling results were quickly seen in testing periods across the one hundred irrigation systems in their irrigation infrastructure.
Success in the Horn of Africa
A Hydrosmart unit was tested in an agricultural setting along the Horn of Africa that grows citrus crops. Another arid to semi-arid climate, this area’s water supply is currently in high demand due to the spike in temperature occurring from climate change. The climate in which these citrus crops grow, combined with high levels of salinity within soil content, increases plant stress and low fruit quality. Thanks to Hydrosmart water conditioning technology, scale disappeared from pipes, emitters and irrigation fittings, whilst crops thrive with quality treated water.
With the utilisation of Hydrosmart technology, functioning as a water descaler and hard water conditioner, plant growth is soon to take off, with neighbouring farms bound to follow suit.
Anticipated Success in Italy
A third Hydrosmart trial is set to take off in Italy in two months, to showcase scale pre-treatment within reverse osmosis systems, protecting plant membranes and promoting growth.
